2-headed pig is a viral sensation in southeastern Yucatán
The birth of a two-headed pig is fodder for Yucatán’s latest viral news.
In the southeastern Yucatecan municipality of Sacalum, Álvaro Chan Aban posted the images this week. The piglet practically fits in the palm of his hands. Its four eyes and snouts are well-defined, but speculation is that it won’t live very long sharing one body and head, which has three ears.
The condition of this little barnyard animal is known as polycephaly, when a set of twins failed to separate in the womb. Snakes, goats, calfs, turtles and occasionally humans are known to rarely suffer from such an abnormality at birth.
It is not yet known what the owners will do with this little pig, Sipse reported.
