After the race, the stadium hosted a music concert starring Ana Torroja and La Maldita Vecindad, a pioneering group celebrating its 30th anniversary with Mexican rock performed by legends Roco, Pato, Aldo Acuña and Sax.
During the concert, Ana Torroja congratulated the runners who were delighted with hits like “Cruz de Navajas,” “Maquillaje,” “Mujer Contra Mujer” and “Ya no te Quiero.”
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon has been organizing similar events at various cities – mainly in the U.S. — for 20 years. The next half marathon is in Savannah, Ga.
