Annual home tour benefits education in Progreso
Step inside stunning beachfront homes while supporting local students at the 7th Annual Progreso Home Tour on Saturday, March 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Progreso. This cherished snowbird season tradition benefits the Progreso Apoyo Program AC, providing vital scholarships to promising students in Progreso, Chicxulub, and Flamboyanes.
The 2025 tour showcases six exceptional properties across Progreso and Chicxulub. Visitors will discover how homeowners have transformed their coastal residences through creative renovations, distinctive artwork, and inspired décor. Many homes feature innovative outdoor living spaces that capture refreshing sea breezes. Throughout the tour, gracious homeowners will be on hand to share their experiences and answer questions about coastal living.
The journey begins at Señor Crocs Restaurant in Progreso, with staggered start times of 9, 9:30, or 10 a.m. to ensure an intimate experience at each location. While participants can drive between homes using the provided map, many opt for the convenient shuttle service available for a modest additional fee.
After exploring these remarkable properties, guests can return to Señor Crocs for a festive gathering featuring a raffle and online auction. Light refreshments will be available for purchase as visitors share their favorite discoveries from the tour.
Advance tickets are $300 MX and can be purchased at popular local markets:
- Crater Market (Tuesday mornings, Chicxulub)
- Crocodiles Farmers and Artisan Market (Wednesday mornings, Progreso)

This project directly supports the Progreso Apoyo Program’s mission to transform lives through education. Currently, 84 students benefit from the program, including 17 pursuing college degrees. For many, they’re the first in their families to attend university—nearly 60% of parents of Apoyo students completed their education before high school. Through community support and sponsorships, these determined students receive the resources and guidance needed to build brighter futures.
