A group of Fundación BAI medical school volunteers on Wednesday embarked on a first-ever educational program in the Telchac Puerto Middle School.
The students were interested, inquisitive, and seemed to really enjoy the 3 different presentations, said John Bradshaw, a former Norfolk, Va., man who also volunteers for the non-profit group that provides education to combat HIV, sexually transmitted infections, and unwanted pregnancy.
“There is a high rate of early teen pregnancies in Telchac Puerto, and with education we can make a positive impact,” Bradshaw said.
But that doesn’t happen without the public’s support, both volunteer and financial.
