An event every day that begins at 10:00 am, repeating until Sun., August 7, 2016
The year’s premiere artesania fair, this time with guests from Queretaro, Michoacan, Veracruz, Puebla and Guanajuato and more than 100 artisans.
Here you can purchase a variety of traditional items, handmade by craftsmen from the region, from unique textile pieces, wood in attractive designs, beautiful objects in stone and fine jewelry.
This 15th edition of the fair will feature 124 local artisans from Dzityá, Mérida and other municipalities throughout Yucatán.
Free transportation from the Plaza Grande runs Monday-Saturday, 5-11 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m.-11 p.m. The bus stops at Santa Ana park, the Hyatt and the Fiesta Americana every hour and 15 minutes.
The fair grounds are 10 kilometers from Mérida on federal highway 261.
In 2015, Tunich attracted 80,000 visitors and organizers are justified to believe that they might break that record this year.
