Al Pacino double feature: ‘Needle Park’ and ‘Serpico’

“The Panic in Needle Park” (1971) 5 p.m.

An American romantic drama film starring Al Pacino, in his second film appearance. With a screenplay by Joan Didion and John Gregory Dunne, the film is a love story a young addict and small-time hustler, and a restless woman who finds him charismatic. It doesn’t go well.

“Serpico” (1973) 8 p.m.

This American crime drama film directed by Sidney Lumet concerns a real-life policeman who went undercover to expose corruption in the New York City Police Department.
