The Artist Studio Tour is now in its fourth year, opening to the public 20 private creative spaces in the Centro or just beyond.
This unique self-guided tour is a yearly fundraiser for the Merida English Library and gives important exposure to local, national and international artists living and working in Merida. Many artists are represented in galleries and museums around the world, but the MEL Artist Studio Tour is the only time their private studios are open to the public.
The tour allows you to spend quality time discussing the creative process with each artist and if, the impulse strikes, you can pick up a piece for your home. Find sculptors, painters, printmakers, photographers, papermakers and more in this talented group.
2016 Studio Tour Artists: Abel Vasquez, Alison Palmer, Amanda Arruti, Benne Rocket, Douglas Greenwood, Eck Follen, Emilio Said, Ernesto Novelo, George Samuelson, Guillermo S. Quintana, Jason Kriegler, Jorge Guerra, Joseph Kurhajec, Juan Pueblo, Katrin Schikora, Kreso Cavlovic, Lilian Rivera, Lorraine Toohey, Manuel Taure, Melva Medina, Omar Said, Paul Lorenz, Rodolfo Baeza, Samia Farah, Samuel Barrera and Viviana Hinojosa.
Due to the small space of some of the studios, only a limited number of tickets will be sold. Buy your tickets before February 20 and pay only 200 pesos. Tickets are sold at the Merida English Library, SoHo Galleries, Galeria Eskalera, Hennessy’s Irish Pub and Lizard Joe’s.
Tickets are 250 pesos the day of the tour.
