Cine-Cena returns with the 1991 French classic “Delicatessen.” Shown with English subtitles.
“A dark comedy and one of the funniest movies I have ever seen,” says proprietor Denis Larson.
The film is set in an apartment building in a post-apocalyptic France of an ambiguous time period. The story focuses on the tenants of the building and their desperate bids to survive. “Delicatessen” is also said to be a deliberate homage to filmmaker Terry Gilliam.
Special menu: Antipasto plate with cold meats and cheeses, olives and crudités, crackers and bread sticks. Plus a dish of ice cream, all at 100 pesos.
