Born in 1990 in Tixkokob, Bastarrachea remains in his hometown as a lithographer and muralist. He studied
Design and Visual Communication at the University of San Agustin Mesoamericana and apprenticed with master engraver Salvador Baeza in engraving and lithography workshops as well with maestro Mario Reyes. He has been a contributor to various arts projects in the Yucatán Association of Engraving and Lithography. Bastarrachea has exhibited at the Museum of the City of Merida, in Tabasco and in the Museo de la Estampa Mexico DF.
“Chuke Machuke” is his freelance graphic project borrowing from the work of Francisco de Goya, 20th-century etching and the aesthetics of contemporary illustration.
