The British film “Dough,” billed in Spanish as “El ingrediente secreto,” is an official selection of the International Jewish Film Festival in Mexico, which is branching out to Mérida this year.
The plot involves an old Jewish baker who struggles to keep his business afloat until his young Muslim apprentice throws cannabis in the dough and sends sales skyward with “the secret ingredient.”
The film, a comedy-drama directed by John Goldschmidt, is 94 minutes long, screened in English with Spanish subtitles.
Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
