Gaia Schilke reads from ‘A Coney Island State of Mind: Poems, Illustrations & Illustrated Poetry’

MEL welcomes Gaia Schilke, a poet and visual artist who is celebrating the publication of her most recent collection of poems and illustrations, “A Coney Island State of Mind: Poems, Illustrations & Illustrated Poetry.” The author will read from her book, which will available for sale at the library or on Amazon. Suggested donation 50 pesos.
Gaia Schilke has lived in San Miguel de Allende since 2016, and for three years before that in Costa Rica. Gaia grew up in Connecticut, lived in Manhattan for 20 years, and then Rhode Island for 10 years before becoming a dedicated expat, according to her Amazon biography.
