U.S. expats can sign a petition calling for the impeachment of U.S. President Donald Trump. The document will be delivered to Congress. Voter registration for American citizens and more activities yet to be announced.
Even people who have not lived in the U.S. for many years and do not have an official U.S. address can sign the petition, according to the organizers’ press release. The only information required is your name, email, state and the zip code of the last place you lived or voted in.
To draw attention to the cause, organizers are inviting people to gather in front of Hennessy’s for a Silent Strike a Pose Flash Mob at 12:20 p.m. for 10 minutes. No signs are allowed, but participants are encouraged to have T-shirts made with messages such as: “Resist,” “Impeach” or “You’re fired!” Photos will be shared on social media.
This event is not a march, but it’s aligned with a network of like-minded protestors across the U.S. Mérida is the only Mexican city on the list.
