Indian food workshop and dinner

Learn to prepare authentic northern Indian cuisine while making new friends.

The workshop takes place 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, near the Centro.

After a small talk and the explanation of the recipe, the group is divided into couples to prepare a wide variety of dishes.

After 1.5 hours of preparation, and making a starter/appetizer, participants will sit down for the quick break to eat before proceeding to the main dish, which will take 2.5 hours more.

The class will be conducted in English and led by Jey Mazumder, who is from New Dehli.

Starter/appetizer:

  • Dahi Aloo Chaat
  • Tamarind Chutney
  • Green Chutney

Main Course:

  • Chicken Tikka Masala
  • Matter Panner / Pea and cottage cheese
  • Naan (Indian Bread)
  • Cumin Rice

Raita

For Vegans:

  • Dal Tadka
  • Veg Korma

No cooking experience required. Price: 1,200 pesos per person, 50 percent in advance.

Everyone who’s attending will get a personal confirmation by email with more details.

Participates should bring the following items

  • Cooking Apron
  • Cutting board and knife (So you can practice cutting while learning the cooking)
  • Mixing bowl to make a Naan Dough for 1/5kg (So you can prepare a dough and take it home to make naan for yourself because the dough fermentation takes three hours to make a perfect naan)
  • Water to Drink
  • Pen and notebook
