Season’s final Cuarteto Yucatan concert at Hacienda Santa Cruz

Thu., April 19, 2018 @ 8:00 pm

$300

Cuarteto Yucatan, formerly the International String Quartet of Yucatán performs once a month at Hacienda Santa Cruz.

This is the last concert of the 2017-18 season.

Inside the Composer’s World: Final Quartets of Two Titans
Mozart: Adagio and Fugue in C minor K. 546
Beethoven: String Quartet No. 13 in B♭ Op. 130

The Adagio and Fugue was the last work for string quartet composed by Mozart.

The Beethoven Quartet  No. 13 in B flat major was also his last composition written for string quartet.

Beethoven was a great admirer of Mozart all his life, and even met him when he was young. His influence is apparent in all of his works, including this quartet.
