Work by Johanna Martin Mardones is on view in the show, “Urdimbre de lo cotidiano como texto crítico,” which opens 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, at La Cúpula Cultural Center. The artist will also discuss her paintings. Entry is free.
A Chilean national, Martin Mardones holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the Universidad de Concepción where she obtained the Universidad de Concepción Award for Academic Excellence, as well as a Research and Criticism of art. Diploma in Cultural Management and Communication at the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences, Argentina. Thanks to the university award, she holds a Master’s in Hispanic American Literature at the same University. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education specializing in Culture at the Universidad Iberoamericana de México.
