Movie night at Il Caffé, a charming Italian restaurant on a pedestrian road behind the Peón Contreras theater. Have dinner on your own at 6 to enjoy a free movie, aimed at English-speaking audiences, at 7.
From the creative mind of comedian-turned-director Jordan Peele comes a follow-up to his directorial debut “Get Out!” (2017), which won him an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay as well as three additional Oscar nominations. Not bad for a first shot at the movies.
Tuesday night’s movie is Peele’s second feature film, the tongue-in-cheek Horror Mystery Thriller “Us” (2019), the story of a serene beach vacation that turns to chaos when the family is visited (and terrorized) by their doppelgangers. Starring Lupita Nyong’o (Oscar winner for her performance in “12 Years a Slave”), Winston Duke and Elisabeth Moss.
