This week’s pick is Pedro Almodovar’s latest film, the semi-autobiographical “Pain and Glory” (2019), where the auteur turns the camera on himself and examines his life’s highs and lows through his own zoom lens. Recipient of the Best Actor (for Antonio Banderas, who plays Almodovar) and Best Soundtrack awards at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, plus another four wins and eight nominations at international film festivals. Also starring Penelope Cruz.
