Today’s choice is a blockbuster movie that isn’t based on a comic book. Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood” (2019) has so far grossed $372 million worldwide, and has done so without a superhero in sight. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio as a fading TV Western star, with Brad Pitt as his stunt double, “Once Upon a Time…” takes us back to 1969, the final year of Hollywood’s golden age, visiting the iconic events of that era along the way. Among them is one of the movie’s numerous sub-plots, the Tate-La Bianca murders by the Manson Family (where Margot Robbie gives a standout performance as Sharon Tate). Truly the must-see movie of the year.
