For the small community of Germans living here, and for anyone who enjoys the culture, OktoberFest returns with its 16th annual celebration.
The beer flows, but the event is family-oriented, including several aspects of German culture. Exhibitors who will offer various kinds of German sausages, pork and beef dishes, traditional German pretzels, black forest cake and beer.
Oktoberfest runs Friday, Oct. 20 from 6 p,m. to midnight, Saturday, Oct. 21 from noon to midnight and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m.
Tickets are 63 pesos in advance, more at the door; children under 15 are free. Buy tickets at www.ticket2go.mx or at La Bierhaus Centro and Col. México, Instituto Kresse at its Montejo and Los Pinos locations, and the Schirp Delicatessen in García Ginerés.
