Arquine presents a preview of “Reyes Ríos + Larraín: Lugar, Materia y Pertenencia,” a much-anticipated book by the famous Mérida architect Salvador Reyes Ríos and his wife Josefina Larraín, who is his artistic director and an artist in her own right.
Mexico City-based Arquine publishes books and magazines that explore Mexican architecture. Since the 1990s, Salvador and Josefina have renovated and reimagined Yucatán’s haciendas and urban homes, placing them squarely in the 21st Century while honoring the region’s heritage. Here is an example of one of their more modern homes, in Itzimná.
Book sales will benefit CediDown, which helps kids with Down Syndrome.
