Update: Out of respect for Good Friday, this day’s presentation will be at the Casa de Montejo only.
Two high-tech light-and-sound shows depict the regions’s history and culture in vivid projections that wrap around the architectural details of two of Mérida’s most treasured façades. The shows are highly artistic and always free to the public. (More about “video mapping” here.)
8:30 p.m. Wednesdays: “Encuentro con (Meeting) Francisco de Montejo. Diálogos del Conquistador,” Casa de Montejo, facing the south side of the Plaza Grande.
8:30 p.m. Fridays: “Piedras Sagradas (Sacred Stones),” San Idelfonso Cathedral, facing the east side of the Plaza Grande. (Suspended for Good Friday; at Casa Montejo instead.)
NOTE: Events are occasionally postponed or canceled, or a listing could contain an error, so confirm any activity with the organizer when possible.
