Two additional cruise ships arrive at Progreso’s port this month: the Carnival Magic and the Carnival Freedom.

They join two sister ships familiar to locals: the Elation and the Triumph.

The Magic, Carnival flagship, will first come from Cozumel on Thursday, Feb. 12, and then head out to Galveston, Texas at the day’s end. It will tentatively return on Feb. 17 and 25 and March 3 and 13.

The Freedom arrives Feb. 19, its port of call here also sandwiched between Cozumel and Galveston.

The Freedom is one of the most modern ships of the Carnival fleet, noted for its extensive program of onboard activities and innovative facilities.
