Country Towers Advances with 3rd Luxury Tower in Mérida’s Altabrisa District
Ten years after opening its second of three high-rises at the Country Towers complex, developer Inmobilia announced that shovels will hit the ground again.
Called Aria Country Towers, the 27-story residential building that will serve as the final and most upscale tower in the complex, with 87 units selling for as much as 33 million Mexican pesos ($1.7 million USD).
Targeting Higher-Income Residents
Aria represents a shift toward premium residential offerings within the established Country Towers development. The building features high-end finishes, including Smeg appliances and Duravit fixtures, positioning it above the existing Torre Aqua and Torre Terra, which were completed in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
The tower’s amenities occupy the 26th and 27th floors and include an infinity pool, sky bar, cooking workshop facilities, and spa services. Ground-level amenities shared with the broader Country Towers complex include tennis and paddle courts, a gym, and cinema facilities across 20,000 square meters of landscaped grounds.
The new tower was designed by Mexico City-based Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos.
Country Towers’ History
The Country Towers complex was ground-breaking for its time.
Country Towers established itself as Mérida’s first major vertical residential development when Torre Aqua opened in November 2014, followed by Torre Terra in December 2015. Both original towers stand 30 stories and 107 meters tall, making them among southeastern Mexico’s tallest residential buildings at the time.
The complex was developed by investors Roberto Kelleher, Emilio Díaz Castellanos, and Oswaldo Millet Palomeque, with official inaugurations attended by Yucatán Gov. Rolando Zapata Bello and Mérida Mayor Renán Barrera Concha.
Market Positioning
The plans reflect a growing demand for luxury residential options in Mérida’s expanding urban core.
The development sits in Altabrisa, considered one of Mérida’s most affluent neighborhoods, adjacent to Plaza Altabrisa shopping center and Gran Parque La Plancha. The area has experienced annual property value increases of approximately 12%, according to developer marketing materials.
Real estate listings describe the existing towers as offering panoramic city views and access to amenities including business centers, barbecue areas, and children’s facilities. One real estate professional noted that Country Towers represents “one of the best options in town to live in” for those seeking vertical living with resort-style amenities.
Completion dates for Aria have not been announced.
