Feria Xmatkuil 2025: Star-Studded Lineup Includes Mijares and EmanuelPopular Mexican artists will headline this year's festivities at Yucatán's largest annual fair
The 2025 edition of Feria Yucatán Xmatkuil promises to deliver one of its most exciting concert lineups yet. Organizers have announced a diverse roster of Mexican superstars who will take the stage this November.
Some of Mexico’s most beloved performers will headline the musical festivities, including iconic singer Mijares, regional Mexican duo Jorge Medina and Josi Cuen, pop sensation Emanuel, comedy duo Burrita Burrona & Turbulence, and the legendary groups Pandora and Flans.
The Yucatán state fair, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2024, has evolved far beyond its agricultural roots to become one of the Yucatán Peninsula’s premier cultural events. What began in 1974 as a livestock exhibition on 10 hectares (25 acres) of land now spans 77 hectares (190 acres) and attracts nearly 3 million visitors annually.
The 2025 concert schedule kicks off with Jorge Medina and Josi Cuen, who will bring their “Juntos: La máquina del Tiempo” tour to the Centro de Espectáculos Montejo on Friday, November 14 at 6 p.m. Tickets range from 660 pesos ($36 USD) for general admission to 2,860 pesos ($158 USD) for VIP seating.
Mijares, one of Mexico’s most enduring pop stars, will perform at the fair’s iconic Palenque on Saturday, November 8 at 10:30 p.m. The 66-year-old singer, who achieved massive popularity throughout the 1980s and 1990s, continues to tour extensively across Latin America. Tickets for his Xmatkuil performance start at 990 pesos ($55 USD) for general admission, with VIP packages reaching 3,850 pesos ($213 USD).
Emanuel will follow on Saturday, November 15, also at the Palenque, with tickets priced similarly between 990 and 4,400 pesos ($55-$244 USD). The concert venue, which has hosted major Mexican artists for decades, provides an intimate setting for these high-profile performances.
One of the most anticipated shows features the joint appearance of iconic female groups Pandora and Flans on Friday, November 28. Both groups helped define Mexican pop music in the 1980s and remain crowd favorites. Their combined performance, starting at 10:30 p.m. at the Palenque, will see ticket prices ranging from 1,100 to 4,400 pesos ($61-$244 USD).
Adding variety to the musical offerings, comedy performers Burrita Burrona and Turbulence, along with Nani Namu and Macta, will present their show on November 18. Their performance offers more affordable entertainment, with tickets between 440 and 825 pesos ($24-$46 USD).
The concerts represent just one facet of the fair’s extensive programming, which traditionally includes livestock exhibitions, artisan markets, culinary competitions, and family entertainment. The 2025 edition continues the fair’s recent designation as an international event, welcoming exhibitors and performers from across Mexico and beyond.
Like many major Mexican state fairs, Xmatkuil serves multiple purposes beyond entertainment. Research indicates that cultural festivals and fairs contribute significantly to local economies, generating revenue through tourism, supporting local businesses, and creating temporary employment opportunities.
The fair’s transformation from agricultural exhibition to major cultural attraction mirrors broader trends in Mexican tourism development. State fairs have become key components of regional identity and economic strategy, particularly in states like Yucatán where cultural heritage and modern entertainment intersect.
General ticket sales for all concerts begin September 20, 2025, through TusBoletos.MX. While the fair itself has not announced official opening and closing dates, previous editions typically run from early November through the first week of December.
The diverse lineup reflects Yucatán’s position as a cultural crossroads, where traditional Mexican music, contemporary pop, and regional styles converge. For music fans and cultural enthusiasts, the 2025 concert series promises to be a highlight of the fair’s programming.
Mérida’s cultural calendar continues to expand throughout the year, with major events like Mérida Fest bringing nearly 200 events across the city each January, establishing the Yucatecan capital as a regional hub for arts and entertainment.
