Graduation trip in Cancún ends with 44 COVID infections

Argentine authorities confirmed that a flight arriving Saturday from Cancún, Mexico, had 44 passengers who tested positive for COVID-19.

The young passengers, from Buenos Aires, were celebrating the end of the school year by ignoring the government’s order to avoid non-essential travel.

Argentina’s immigration officials have been ordered to cooperate with the health department by releasing passenger names and identifying their close contacts. They will be quarantined and monitored, officials told local media.
