State tourism officials say they will need more space for Yucatecan exhibitors at an annual trade fair in Mexico City.
The 100 spaces at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City are insufficient to meet the demand of people who wanted to see goods and taste the foods of Yucatán, officials told Sipse.
This is the second consecutive year that the number of spaces were inadequate to meet the demand of participants at this event. In 2014, 112 exhibitors were from Yucatán, but 160 would have come if there was adequate space.
The priority has been to accommodate artisans entity different groups to have the opportunity to showcase their products. The 2015 Week of Yucatan in Mexico will be held from July 10 to 19.
In this event, crafts, textiles, footwear, food and tourism service providers are promoted to draw attention to Yucatán’s charms.
