Mexico’s Interjet has signed a collaboration with Lufthansa, the most prominent airline in Germany, easing travel between the two countries.

With the signing of this agreement, the German airline’s passengers may purchase tickets to any of Interjet’s 55 national and international destinations, according to a statement from the Mexican company.

“This agreement between Lufthansa and Interjet is an important step in the international consolidation of the company to continue offering our passengers the best service and expand the connectivity that allows us to promote tourism and speed up commercial exchanges,” said Interjet’s commercial executive director, Julio Gamero.

This alliance, he estimated, will allow us to diversify our route network and offer a wide coverage to our clients within the Americas, Europe and Asia.

Interjet has sealed similar deals with other airlines such as Alitalia, All Nippon Airways, American Airlines and British Airways.
