Letter: Build the wall … of solar panels

To the Editor:

The Mexican government could erect a wall of solar panels that would generate enough electrical energy to pay for all materials and yield a huge profit for Mexico.

The Solar Panels produced by Heliene Inc., a Spanish company based in Sault Ste. Marie, Canada, would create a solid wall of electricity-producing panels.

The illegal Mexican workers in the agricultural belt of the U.S.A. would be encouraged, as it would take thousands to assemble and erect this steel framed, and “electrified” fence.

Mexico benefits from the sale of power for the U.S. market, and likewise create employment. Canada benefits from the production of the panels. The United States would have what their president wants…..a “wall!”

Would such a wall not be MORE PALATABLE than ugly chain link, or concrete, or steel, that would be a blight to the countryside?

Renewable energy is extremely advantageous, and profitable.

My Canadian home city is Sault Ste. Marie, The alternative energy capital of North America. Solar, wind, and hydro generation, in abundance.

Sincerely,
