The event is to raise funds for the library, which celebrates 18 years in the city. To date, MEL has amassed 10,000 English-language books and serves as a community center for expats and their amigos.
The fee for the event $250 MX for library members and $300 for the public.
Sommelier Victor Cruz has selected three rosés for the evening’s fare. One of the featured wines will be “V,” a rosado from the oldest winery in the Americas, Casa Madero.
Paired with the wine and food will be the gallery’s art, an exhibit showcasing the works of three young Yucatecan artists: Eric Fajardo, Emilio Suarez Trejo and Samantha Castrillón.
The library is supported by resources obtained from its events.
Wine tastings take place the second Thursday of each month at various forums.
