‘New normal’ will be on hold if trend continues, governor warns

Yucatan Gov. Mauricio Vila Dosal threatened to delay reopening the economy after the health ministry reported the most infections and deaths so far in the coronavirus crisis.
The state counted 80 new cases and 11 fatalities, news that came shortly after dozens of vendors at the San Benito and Lucas de Gálvez markets, which attract tens of thousands daily, were spreading the virus.
The governor implored citizens not to relax on healthy distance measures if they want any sense of normalcy to resume.
