The International String Quartet of Yucatán has officially changed its name to Cuarteto Yucatan.
The name change is meant to increase the visibility of the quartet to Yucatecan society as well as the expat community and the Mexican public in general, hoping convey its concept as a Latin American quartet.
The musicians are backed by a new Civil Association, Cuarteto de Cuerdas de Yucatan A.C., to increase the sustainability and the transparency of the project, with Ross Russell as President, and Andre Molina as Treasurer.
