Playboy to publish its own account of ‘Bunny’ arrests in Mérida
Mérida, Yucatán — Playboy magazine’s August edition will be dedicated to the “true story” about what happened on the night of June 30 at the Hacienda Chichi Suarez in Mérida.
That’s when several of their “bunnies” were hauled away and detained overnight by immigration agents.
“The facts in their own words … Unpublished pictures,” promises Playboy publicity materials. On Instagram, Playboy Mexico published a photograph in which three models, photographed from the rear, are wearing handcuffs.
International Playmates Elif Celik, Marie Brethenoux and Jenni Sumers were the center of attention during and after a Playboy-branded gathering, the second of a three-stop music festival that concluded later in Cancun.
Immigration agents detained six foreign women and men, who were here from Turkey, Argentina, Colombia, France, Venezuela and the United States, apparently without proper paperwork.
