The Google platform is far more popular than Apple’s iOS when it comes to smartphone customers in Yucatán.
A poll finds that 80 percent of users prefer to use a smartphone with the Android operating system, while 20 percent prefer Apple’s iPhone, similar to the national average
Android holds 61.9 percent of the U.S. market share to Apple’s 32.5 percent, the lowest percentage iOS has captured since the iPhone 4s launched in 2011. And elsewhere in Latin America, iPhone’s share is even lower: the countries with the most iPhone users are Brazil and Colombia with 15 percent and Argentina with 8 percent.
In Mexico, states with the highest percentage of use of internet from smartphones and tablets are Nuevo León, Baja California and even Mexico City third.
