Rainy afternoons to continue
Rainy afternoons will continue over the weekend in various parts of the Yucatán Peninsula, as maritime air from the Caribbean Sea interacts with a trough of low pressure, reports the the weather service.
In recent days, the consistent afternoon and evening rains at various points on the Yucatán Peninsula have been due to the influence of various weather phenomena.
Temperatures will continue to be hot — sometimes very hot — especially in the states of Yucatán and Campeche.
Today the establishment of a low-pressure trough, which is spread on the Campeche Sound, favors the presence of rain at intervals and showers in the western, central and southern Yucatán; north, center and south of Campeche; and south of Quintana Roo.
On Sunday expect rainy intervals in the central and southwest areas of Campeche; western and central Yucatán; and south of Quintana Roo.
Temperatures will reach 38C/100F degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday in Yucatán.
