Road improvements resume throughout the state
Mérida, Yucatán — The state transportation ministry will invest 921.3 million pesos in road and port projects this year, officials said.
Among the projects are the resumption of work to expand the Mérida-Chetumal, Peto-Valladolid, Sierra Papacal-Chuburná Puerto and Tunkás-Cenotillo roads, according to an announcement Monday.
Two lanes will be added to the bridge that crosses the Mérida-Progreso highway later this year, officials announced.

The modernization and extension of the Peto-Valladolid road will be completed from 4 to 9 meters, with a total length of 107.7 km, and the Tunkás-Cenotillo road from 5 to 9 meters.
