Saltillo, Coahuila — The Leones’ hot streak was cooled down at the beginning of a three-day series against the Saraperos de Saltillo on Friday.
A three-run home run in the eighth inning by Josuan Hernandez led the Saraperos to a come-from-behind 8-6 win over Yucatan.
In the top of the ninth, Yucatan cut into the lead on a wild pitch that scored Walter Ibarra.
Five Leones recorded at least two hits for the game.
Jose Pina (2-3) got the win with two scoreless innings, while Ronald Belisario (3-6) took the loss. Both starting pitchers received no decisions.
The second game of the series is 6 p.m. Saturday starting with Miguel Peña and Felix Doubront on the mound. The game can be followed live on La Comadre 98.5 and internetv.
