The busy intersection of Calles 55 and 60, where Parque Santa Lucia attracts tourists and restaurant-goers every day, became an outdoor hospital as paramedics and la Cruz Roja attended to 10 passengers injured in a taxi van collision yesterday morning.
Both cabs said they had the green light when that crashed at the busy intersection at 6:50 a.m. Two people were taken to the hospital; the other eight were given hospital passes.
The crash will be investigated by the prosecutor’s office, which will determine which driver is at fault.
Traffic was particularly intense because cars were diverted from another major artery.
