Rosas y Xocolate Boutique Hotel and Spa is again nominated as the best urban hotel in the interior of the republic, and Xixim Unique Mayan Hotel is nominated as the best eco-friendly hotel in Mexico. And to top it all off, Mérida is nominated as Mexico’s Best Gourmet Destination. All won in their categories in 2015, beating out some heavy hitters such as Oaxaca, Puebla and Mexico City.
The only nomination Yucatán state didn’t win in 2015 was best overall destination, which went to the Riviera Maya.
