Montejo 495 Casa Museo

One of Mérida’s Casas Gemelas, or Twin Mansions, is now a museum, with its first-floor open to the public. All the original furniture from the 1911 residential marvel is intact. Open 9 a.m.-5 p.m Thursday-Sunday. General entry 250 pesos, or 125 pesos with state ID (another 50 pesos for permission to take photos). INAPAM, students and kids under 12: $0 pesos. Free to children under 3.

Address: Paseo de Montejo 495, at Calle 45, the mansion on the left when facing the “twins.” Entrance at the gate between the two houses.
