A 41-year-old American woman missing in Yucatán for nearly three months has been found safe, police said.

Jennifer Marie Trujillo, of Denver, was found Wednsday near the Parque de la Paz on Avenida Itzáes. Her family in Colorado said they had not heard from her since July 18, when she reported being in Pisté, police said.

An Alba Alert had been activated by the state attorney general’s office and the state police. The Alba protocol is like an Amber Alert, but focused on missing women of any age.

Police said Trujillo, whose travel documents were missing, was sleeping on public streets and cleaning windshields for money. She was in good health, authorities added.

Officials said they will help relocate her back home with family.

To report a missing person, call the Alba Protocol hotline at 800-00-26-237 or 9999-30-32-50 Ext. 41164.
