For all we hear about furniture, housewares and other goods from China flooding the market in Yucatán. But how big is the market for Yucatecan products in Asia?
Gov. Rolando Zapata Bello will be in China later this month, accompanied by a group of 13 entrepreneurs, to shake hands at an international trade fair co-hosted by Mexico.
Yucatecan products, such as La Lupita snacks, La Anita seasonings, Metaplus refrigeration, Airtemp automotive climate control, Macedonia Marble Maya and Saxon metal products are among the products being represented, reports Diario de Yucatán.
Yucatán will dominate the delegation of 110 Mexican companies that will seek to enter the Asian market through the fair. Yucatán will have 3 firms on board.
The 11th China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair will be held in the POLY World Trade Center and the Guangzhou International Sourcing Center in Guangdong Province on Oct. 11-14.
The 11th CISMEF boasts 100,000 square meters of exhibition space, with the POLY World Trade Center offering 60,000 square meters and the Guangzhou International Sourcing Center’s 40,000 square meters.
