Progreso, Yucatán — Filling up with Magna and Premium is cheaper to do around here than anywhere else in the country, says the Energy Regulatory Commission.

On Tuesday, Magna gasoline was MX$15.31, compared to a national average of $15.96 per liter; Premium costs $17.08 as opposed to the national average of $17.76. Prices will fluctuate slightly from day to day as the government adjusts for market rates, distribution costs and other factors.

The government adjusts gas prices by region. The Progreso region is comprised of Buctzotz, Dzilam González, Dzidzantón, Mococh, Telchac Puerto, Conkal and the port city of Progreso.

Mérida and the municipalities group into its region also pay less than the national average. Capital city drivers pay $15.39 for Magna and $17.16 for Premium.

The capital region includes Rio Lagartos, Chemax, Espita, Temozón, Valladolid, Peto, Tzucacab, Tinum, Dzilam de Bravo, Tekax, Oxkutzcab, Akil, Cacalchén, Chumayel, Izamal, Cansahcab, Celestún, Telchac Pueblo, Ticúl, Maxcanú, Suma, Tekantó, Motul, Hoctún, Muna, Kopomá, Hunucma, Tixkokob, Acanceh, Kinchil, Kanasín, Mayapán and Umán.
