The CFE will cut power to several areas in Yucatán while maintenance work is completed.
The federal electricity commission announced the following planned outages:
- Mérida Centro: Calle 57 between 62 and 64 Thursday 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Friday.
- Itzimná: Calle 25 between 13 and 15 Thursday from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
- Telchac Puerto: Calle 21 between 8 and 14, on Calle 21 between 4 and C-Beach Bonita, on Calle 2 between 21 and 23, on Calle 23 between 2 and 10, as well as on 27, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Tizimín: Calle 62 between 63-A and 57 Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Carretera Cacalchén-Hoctún: Kilometer 6, Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Maxcanú: Calle 27 and 20 Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The largest outage will be at Puerto Aventuras, a gated community in Solidaridad, Quintana Roo. Over 20,000 residents were told to prepare for a four-hour blackout starting at 3 p.m. today.
