Yucatan Giving Outreach is planning some horseplay this weekend.
The annual Chicas for Charity polo tournament is back, bringing together six polo players from around the world to compete.
Proceeds will help the most vulnerable people in the Yucatán community.
The fifth annual Chicas for Charity starts at 1 p.m. Saturday on the expansive grounds of the Yucatan Polo Club in Komchen. General tickets cost 250 pesos and guests under 17 can enter for free.
Tickets (250 pesos) are available 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Yucatan Giving Outreach office in Itzimná, 999-518-0801. To donate a ticket, pay via PayPal at ygofacturacion@gmail.com.
VIP tables are already sold out, but there will be plenty of shade, tables and chairs throughout the polo field.
A highlight of the day is the creative hat competition as well as a silent auction. Booths with food and artisan crafts and goodies from Colectivo Bazaar are also planned.
Yucatán Magazine, which is among the sponsors, will be there with past issues and some souvenirs to give away.
