Progreso, Yucatán — The city has successfully completed a mega-festival combining Children’s Day and Mother’s Day. Over 5,000 people swarmed the gates of the Miguel Hidalgo baseball field, where the event was held yesterday.
The city’s mayor, José Cortés, and his daughter, Adela Cortez, were front and center along with other elected officials. Municipal employees did not miss the opportunity to pose with performers with photos.
From Televisa, singer Lore Lore and a costumed character whose name translates to Bi-Polar Bear, were among the highlights.
