Mérida, Yucatán — A group of up to 12 watercolor artists will gather for a week of plein air painting in various locations.
“Mérida in 5 Days” starts Sunday, Feb. 4, when artists will meet at a scenic spot, paint their scenes, have lunch and share critiques at happy hour. This has been an annual event for 19 years.
They will set up easels at Santiago Park, the Mayapan archaeological site, the general cemetery, a beach in Progreso and at Hacienda Santa Cruz.
And the work they create will be offered for sale.
