Sixth Noche Blanca attracts 60,000 visitors

Under the light of the full moon, the heat did not dampen the spirits for the thousands who enjoyed Noche Blanca into the wee hours of the morning.

This was the sixth edition of the massive, citywide festival.

Multiple generations from children to grandparents enjoyed a wide range of cultural, culinary and artistic activities that were deployed around the Centro Histórico.

An estimated 60,000 visitors took part, including domestic and foreign tourists who filled cantinas, restaurants, craft shops, hotels and hostels.

Noche Blanca gave voice not only to artistic spirits, but to protestors who rallied against genetically modified foods. They marched from the Monumento a la Patria to the Plaza Grande.
