The Merida English Library's Lecture Series continues 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5 on the topic "The Oil Economy: Possible Outcomes." The speaker, Alejandro Hecht, worked for the Venezuelan oil industry for three decades. He will talk about future possibilities given our current economic reality. The event is free, but donations are appreciated.
